One word has the power to change everything.

That's my own story. The right word, at the right time, was truly miraculous. Surviving became living. Black and white became color.

Today, I love writing books and sharing words that become keys—unlocking the way from fear to trust, from control to resilience, and from merely getting by to the good and beautiful adventure of living.

Until it's too good to be true, it's not the end of your story.

I love connecting with people—whether in person, through podcasts and radio, or through writing. I speak because I love being face-to-face with people to witness firsthand when hope touches someone’s life. I write because the written word is not bound by time or space—it can travel farther than me, be revisited over the course of months and years, and find its way into hands I may never shake.

But this life of movement and connection wasn’t always an option for me. For most of my childhood, I suffered from an autoimmune disease that kept me bedridden for years. Then, when I was twenty-one years old, someone prayed with me and I was miraculously healed on the spot. That moment changed everything. Now I’m passionate about helping others have their own life-changing encounters—whether radical and miraculous like mine, sparked by a story that invites a new perspective, or through the slow-burn idea that changes us from the inside out.

I’m the author of multiple books, including HOPE: A Practical Guide to Praying for Healing. I hold a B.A. in Communications and am a ministry graduate from Bethel in Redding, California. I’ve traveled around the world speaking, writing, and meeting new people.

On A Lighter Note:

On a lighter note, I don’t take my health for granted! I stay active coaching boxing, keeping up with the “littles” in my life, and perpetually trying to stay warm in Minnesota. One of my dreams is to complete the tennis fan Grand Slam by visiting all four majors (I’m currently 0 for 4, but my hopes are high).
